A transformed funder
Tudor is a transformed funder with a mission to advance racial justice by resourcing power within communities. The year 2024 marked the start of our transformation. Since then, we have taken the time to learn and shift to an emergent approach.
The long-standing Board that exited in 2020 understood the importance of a racial justice remit. We keep honoring this remit today by working with an understanding of the historical harms of wealth accumulation to centre restorative justice over charity.
By transforming the norms and structures deciding where funding goes, we hope to challenge systems and shape the future of philanthropy.
Our people
Tudor’s team are committed to embodying our mission and the Change We Seek. We invest in our people and strive to be visible in the field so we can work in genuine partnership.
Our current board is composed of trustees appointed under the principles of oversite and the charity code of governance. Shifting power within Tudor enabled us to be more accountable to the communities we serve.
