Reimagining The Tudor Trust in 2022/2023
Publication date: 01/04/2022
We’ve temporarily closed to new applications from 1st April 2022 to April 2023 so we can set aside time to re-think how the Trust operates in future. A key driver for this is the learning we have done around racial justice, and how we can embed this both internally and through our grant making.
We’re looking at how we build all aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion more fully into our work, and challenging ourselves around accessibility and power dynamics. We’re also spending time on practical work such as revisiting our funding guidelines and website and considering how best to give feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
While we made a start on this last year, the day-to-day work of being a relational funder, particularly in these challenging times, leaves little time for more in-depth, strategic work. Temporarily closing to new applicants has freed up time for us to do the work we need to do to make us a better, more accountable funder.
Our grants managers are still providing our usual level of support to the 700+ organisation who have grants with us. We don’t want to disrupt our current funding relationships, which is why we have decided that we are still open to making continuation grants to current grant holders.

We’ll be sharing some updates later in the Reimagining about what we’re learning and our plans for the future. If you would like to receive our newsletter on the signup box below.
